Anxiety Disorders, Paula Estrada The different types of anxiety disorders include Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Social Anxiety, Panic Disorder, Agoraphobia, and others. Generalized Anxiety causes people to constantly be in fear of everyday situations. People with social anxiety have a fear of communication with others. Panic disorder is basically panic attacks caused by terror of something. Agoraphobia causes people to avoid certain places or situations that can cause a trigger. Other anxiety disorders are more centered on children, like Selective Mutism and Separation anxiety.Selective Mutism causes kids to be unable to talk unless they are comfortable in their surroundings. Separation Anxiety makes children become overly anxious of being separated from their parents.
